Lindsay Arnold is from Milton, Massachusetts and attends the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, Virginia. She is a Studio Arts major and an Art History minor and will graduate in May 2008. Along with the arts, she enjoys skiing, kiteboarding and all other sports.

Journalistic Drawing in Italy

In this course, students develop images both in sketchbooks, and as individual works based directly on their experiences living and traveling in Italy. Students closely observe, document, and comment on their investigations of various aspects of Italian life and culture. On-site drawing is a major focus of the course, as is the use of drawing as a communication tool. Students examine and consider the work of journalistic illustrators as well as artists relevant to the classes’ focus.
